Pager Insurance Policy
The purchaser of the Pager shall be issued a certificate of insurance
by the service provider for a period of 12 months from the date of
sale. This protects the pager from all types of risks or hazards
that it might be subjected to.Each and every Pager sold by the
service provider
can be insured for a period of 12 months from the date of sale. |
Risks covered
The insurance policy provides coverage against
- Fire
- Riot, strike, malicious damage and terrorist activity.
- Theft.
- Accident.
- Fortuitous circumstances.

Compensation Offered In event of any loss or damage to
the Pager during the first 12 months from the date of purchase, necessitating
the replacement of
the instrument, the insurers will pay the cost of replacement of
the Pager subject to a maximum of the sum insured.
If the damage is
partial and can be repaired, the insurers shall pay the cost of repairs,
without deducting any depreciation on the
part replaced.
After the first 12 months, the cost of replacement
and/or repairs are subject to deduction for depreciation as per

Exclusions
Certain types of loss and/or damage will not be covered by
the insurance policy, such as

Loss or
damage due to operation of war and nuclear perils.

Loss or damage due to theft or damage to the Pager
from any unattended vehicle, except a fully-enclosed
saloon type vehicle having all doors and windows securely
locked and fastened.

Loss or damage caused by intentional act or wilful
neglect.

Loss or damage due to intentional
overloading of the Pager or experiments involving the
imposition of any
abnormal conditions.

Loss or damage caused by wear and
tear, moth, vermin, atmospheric or climatic conditions
or gradual deterioration,
inherent defects or any process of cleaning, repairing,
renovation or maintenance.

Loss or damage resulting from delay, detention or confiscation
by customs or government or public authorities.

Theft, loss or damage during the hire or loan of the
Pager to a third party.
-
Loss or damage occasioned by water or damage occasioned
from any water borne craft.
-
Mysterious disappearance.
